Testimonial

“I had been teaching theatre and directing shows for 10 years when Lindsay and RE:THEATRE offered a new experience to challenge the performers at my high school. As an educator first, I strive to challenge the actors with each show. I’ve double-cast shows successfully, performed large ensemble shows and popular musicals, taught slapstick humor and vignette pacing; but Lindsay helped me to see how theatre can really connect to realistic circumstances – with the actors and the audience. My students started talking about the character relationships and motivations thoughtfully. They began seeing themselves as the characters and understanding how to tell the story through word, song, action and dance. Lindsay engaged with them in ways that I had only hoped to reach in the course of the 8-12 weeks needed for a production. Her experience and knowledge assures me that I am taking the right steps to continue my program in the right direction.”
— Amanda Lerquin (educator)
